The X-STEM Overnight Camp for Black and Mi’kmaw Youth
What is X-STEM?
X-STEM is a 3-night camp for Black and Mi’kmaw students in grades 7-11, offered at no cost to campers and families. X-STEM takes place on STFX Campus, where campers stay in residence and attend engaging sessions designed to provide opportunities to explore Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
X-STEM includes a day of land-and-sea-based learning with Elders and Knowledgekeepers from campers’ communities, and a closing banquet to celebrate campers’ successes.
